Shawn Raydo, from Leawood, Kansas, serves as a brand manager at Hummert International’s Dyna Green Division. His background includes over 25 years of experience in B2B, B2C, and retail across industries like luxury, fitness, and medical devices. Shawn Raydo’s strong educational background provided the foundation for his career achievements.

Mr. Raydo attended Rockhurst Jesuit Prep in Kansas City. He was already competing with a club swimming team at an elite level when he founded Rockhurst’s swimming program. During his time there, his team won 11 championships, and he earned several athletic honors.

At Syracuse University in New York, Mr. Raydo studied molecular biology. Alongside his studies, he competed for the NCAA Division 1 school as a swimmer and was a finalist at the Big East Conference Championship. Earning an athletic scholarship, he was named to the Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll. Later, he moved to Sydney, Australia, to study marine biology for six months at the University of New South Wales before returning to Syracuse to finish his degree.

Shawn Raydo went on to obtain a master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles. For his required practical experience, he worked with Gawad Kalinga, a renowned community development organization in the Philippines. Further, he completed the Kansas State Master Gardener program. This training relates to his current radio show on 98.1 FM in Kansas City, covering horticulture, gardening, and lawn care.
